Gergely (GG) Sved is executive vice president and president of Global Healthcare & Life Sciences for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and vital resources.

Sved leads the company’s Healthcare business, which provides a broad portfolio of innovative infection prevention programs to customers in more than 90 countries, Ecolab’s Life Sciences business, which provides end-to-end contamination control programs to meet the exacting needs of personal care and pharmaceutical research and manufacturing facilities, and the company’s hand care business.

Previously, Sved was senior vice president and general manager of Ecolab Global Healthcare, where he led the day-to-day operations.

Prior to joining Ecolab in 2019, Sved was president and chief executive officer of Healthcare Services in Europe for General Electric (GE) and responsible for all aspects of installation, life-cycle management, service, and value-added solutions for GE Healthcare’s installed base.

Previously, Sved served as chief operating officer for GE Healthcare Services Europe. He also served as general manager of GE Healthcare Services Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS; and was general manager of GE Energy Services Parts for EMEA and Asia. Prior to these roles, Sved served as the business development director for GE in Eastern Europe and held successive leadership roles in the company’s corporate audit group.

Sved received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Humberside in the UK and bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Corvinus University in Hungary.
