Electrochemically Generated ClO2
With the Halox System, Ecolab offers onsite chlorine dioxide generation with a patented electrolytic process.
The Halox technology delivers chlorine dioxide by an extremely safe and simple operation and a very pure product
at competitive costs.
This self-contained system does not require any acid, chlorine gas or bleach. With the Halox System,
chlorine dioxide is generated in a completely self-contained cassette. The cassette directly converts sodium
chlorite to chlorine dioxide via an electrolytic process.

Halox – a very safe generation method
The Halox System efficiently generates a very pure CLO2 from a single precursor, P3-oxonet 25. Its unique
controlled oxidation makes the ClO2 generation very safe and simple to operate.
ClO2 solution generated by Halox has limited corrosion versus other oxidising disinfectants or ClO2
generated by acidic method at equal use concentrations.

The Chemicals
The Halox Generator requires only one precursor. P3-oxonet 25 is a special quality, sodium chlorite based
product exclusively for the Halox technology.
Installation / Training
System assembly, start-up and adjustment are the obvious components. At Ecolab, customer Training and Safety
education are of course an integal component of the package.
