Reducing pathogens and other microbial counts on food surfaces improves the
quality and shelf life of food products. Ecolab’s patented food surface treatments are
effective solutions for minimizing microbial contamination
during processing, providing kill of various
contaminants.

- Tsunami® 100 is an EPA-registered antimicrobial water additive that reduces 99.9% of the pathogens Escherichia coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella enterica in fresh-cut, further processed, and post-harvest fruit and vegetable processing water systems. Tsunami 100 is not for use to sanitize hard surfaces such as tanks, lines or flume surfaces, or food processing equipment.
- Tsunami® 200 reduces spoilage organisms including yeast, mold and bacteria on processed fruit and vegetable surfaces. Tsunami 200 is not for use to control microorganisms in process water, on raw agricultural commodities, or on hard surfaces such as tanks, lines, or flume systems, or on food processing equipment.

The Sanova® program, as an in-line, antimicrobial food surface treatment, has been proven effective in helping to control foodborne pathogens on food surfaces. Because it can be used at multiple intervention points, it helps break the contamination cycle without interrupting plant operations. It also significantly reduces the number of spoilage microorganisms on food surfaces to help enhance shelf-life. And, since Sanova is classified by the USDA as a processing aid, no additive labeling is required for processors. Sanova is not intended for use as a hard surface food contact sanitizer.
