Black Pearl Award for Corporate Excellence in Food Safety
In 2006, Ecolab received the prestigious Black Pearl Award for Corporate Excellence in Food Safety and Quality presented by the International Association of Food Protection (IAFP). The Black Pearl Award recognizes efforts in advancing food safety and quality through consumer programs, employee relations, educational activities, adherence to standards, and support of the goals and objectives of IAFP. The delivery of innovative food safety solutions begins with our scientists and engineers who develop new products and systems and is a team effort which continues through our dedicated sales and service associates who implement these interventions in customer locations around the world on a daily basis. Sponsored by Wilbur Feagan and F & H Food Equipment Company, the Black Pearl Award has been given annually in recognition of corporate excellence in food safety since 1994.
North American Foodservice Grand Prix Award
As an example of our innovative products, Ecolab’s Oasis 146 Multi-Quat SanitizerTM won the 2005 the North American Foodservice Grand Prix Award in the cleaning and chemical product category. This was the second year in a row that Ecolab won this award sponsored by the International Foodservice Distributors Association and the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors. Oasis 146 is a unique sanitizer for the foodservice industry that makes sanitation compliance easier to achieve due to its expanded use-concentration range (150-400 ppm instead of 200 ppm). This simplifies both training and use of the product, which aids customers in their programs to reduce foodborne illness, promote sanitization and meet regulatory requirements.
Sanitarian Award from IAFP and Ecolab
Ecolab is proud to sponsor the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Sanitarian Award. The Sanitarian Award recognizes an individual for exceptional service to the public, the IAFP and to the profession of Sanitarian. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium sponsored by Ecolab Inc. In addition to sponsoring the Sanitarian Award, Ecolab is a Gold Sustaining Member of the IAFP, supporting speakers and educational sessions at the IAFP Annual Meeting. The IAFP is a non-profit association comprised of 3,000 members from 50 nations with the mission of providing food safety professionals a worldwide forum to exchange information on protecting the food supply. Sanitarian Award winners are selected using a variety of criteria including: length of service and positions held in the profession of Sanitarian, food protection activities demonstrating a dedication to the profession, leadership roles, and significant achievements and educational activities in food protection.
