Around the world, Ecolab employees have committed to making a positive impact in their communities on June 5, World Environment Day.
Ecolab will host employee volunteer opportunities in four of our major U.S. locations to celebrate this important global event focused on building awareness and action for solving environmental challenges. Employees in Saint Paul, Minn., Naperville, Ill., Sugar Land, Texas, and Greensboro, N.C. will roll up their sleeves to help restore protected natural resource sites in their communities.
Regardless of where they volunteer, all employees are eligible to enter Ecolab’s Share your Story contest, which will recognize employees who have made a significant contribution to their communities. The winning story submission will receive the company’s first Positive Impact award, and the top three submissions will win a grant to a qualifying environmental non-profit partner in their region.
All employees also were encouraged to take the Ecolab Environmental Pledge to reduce their personal environmental impact at work. The pledge featured some well-known sustainability steps like reducing printing, as well as some lesser known tips like factoring sustainability criteria into purchasing decisions.
