The Faster Way to Fight Infections

Nowhere is disinfection and the fight against germs more important than in hospitals and healthcare facilities. And right now, one of the most critical fights is against Clostridium difficile–the leading cause of more than 1.7m healthcare associated infections in the U.S. every year.

Clostridium difficile bacteria spores are difficult to kill. For most traditional, quat-based disinfectants, it takes up to 10 minutes to kill harmful pathogens, which is problematic since most surfaces may not stay wet long enough for the disinfectant to be effective. And typically they do not kill Clostridium difficile spores. As a result, hospitals are using multiple products and procedures to combat Clostridium difficile, causing inefficiency and limited success.

We developed the first non-bleach concentrate that kills Clostridium difficile spores, and works in half the time of traditional quat-based disinfectants.

We came up with a solution

Our scientists developed OxyCide™, the first EPA-registered concentrate without bleach that kills Clostridium difficile endospores. And it works in half the time of traditional disinfectants. It is a one-step sporicide, disinfectant cleaner, virucide and deodorizer that works in just one application–saving time, money, and most importantly, lives. And it’s a big step toward winning the battle against HAIs.
