Company History

The idea for a product hotels could use to clean carpets in their guest rooms – instead of sending them out –  had come to M.J. Osborn as a young traveling salesman. Then, at age 44, having lost his previous business and with two sons approaching college, he set about to develop the carpet cleaner. Thus began the story of Ecolab.
