Purchasing from Diverse Suppliers

To promote responsible growth across different sectors, Ecolab encourages the use of diverse suppliers while ensuring that we receive the highest quality products and services at the most competitive prices.

Our U.S. Supplier Diversity Program is founded on the principles of fair and equitable business practices and social responsibility to the communities we serve. We are committed to providing equal opportunities to small, minority-owned, woman-owned or veteran-owned suppliers for the goods and services needed at Ecolab.

For a supplier to qualify for the U.S. Supplier Diversity Program, an organization must be at least 51 percent owned, controlled and operated by a woman, minority or veteran; and be within the size standards for the organization’s industry set by the Small Business Administration. Our U.S. Supplier Diversity program includes the following classifications:

  • Small Businesses
  • Women-Owned Businesses
  • Minority-Owned Businesses
  • Veteran-Owned Businesses
  • HUBZone Businesses

Ecolab’s Ethical Sourcing Standards represent a global supply chain initiative requiring our direct suppliers to protect the health, safety and human rights of their employees. Suppliers must meet standards regarding forced labor, child labor, health and safety, fair pay and harassment in the workplace. In accordance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010, information about Ecolab’s supplier standards is available here.
