Elaine Black, PhD

Director, Regulatory Affairs

Elaine is a key liaison for Ecolab with EPA and FDA for matters that pertain to Ecolab’s registered antimicrobial product portfolio. She holds leadership positions on antimicrobial industry trade associations including Center for Biocides Chemistry and Household and Commercial Products Association.
 
Elaine holds a bachelor’s in Food Science and PhD in Microbiology, both from University College Cork, Ireland. Prior to joining Ecolab, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Delaware and the University of Minnesota. She has held positions at Ecolab as a product development microbiologist and technical service lead. She is a published author of 15 peer-reviewed articles and 2 book chapters in the areas of microbiology, food safety, and disinfection. 


Linda Homan, RN, BSN, CIC

Senior Manager, Clinical Affairs

Linda is responsible for applied clinical research, the development of clinical and educational solutions, and the incorporation of clinical best practices in all healthcare offerings. She also serves as the liaison to healthcare professional associations such as the Association for PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiologists of America (SHEA) and the Association for Healthcare Environmental Services (AHE).   

Linda is a registered nurse, is board certified in infection control and has been active in the field of infection prevention and control for over 25 years. She has held leadership positions in APIC, including President and Vice President of the Minnesota chapter, and board member of the National APIC Research Foundation. Linda has participated in the development of infection control guidelines for the state of Minnesota and for AHE. She is an active member of APIC, SHEA, AORN, and AHE and is currently on the AHE Board of Directors as the Industry Liaison.
