Connell Zhang is executive vice president and president of Greater China for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources.  In this role, Zhang works to ensure successful alignment of Ecolab’s divisions and functions within Greater China as well as local execution of the company’s global strategies. 

Prior to joining Ecolab in 2018, Zhang held leadership roles with increasing responsibility for The Linde Group, a German-based chemical and industrial gas company, most recently serving as head of Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.      

Before joining The Linde Group in 2011, Zhang served as managing director for Asia for Hubbell Power Systems and held several business development and management roles for The BOC Group, which The Linde Group acquired in 2006.  Zhang began his career as a business analyst for China National Minerals and Metals Corporation (Minmetals), a state-owned company.

Zhang received a bachelor’s degree in International Economics from Renmin University of China in Beijing and a master’s in Business Administration from the Yale University School of Management.
