Jérôme Charton is executive vice president Special Initiatives for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, food safety and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and vital resources.
Previously, Charton was executive vice president and president of Global Markets and was responsible for ensuring effective local execution of global strategies and high performance of the company’s local markets and regional operations. Charton has held several leadership positions within Ecolab, including leading the company’s business within Western Europe, Ecolab’s Paper division, which operates under the Nalco Water name, and the company’s Food & Beverage business in Europe. He joined Ecolab as vice president and general manager of the company’s Healthcare business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to Ecolab, Charton held multiple marketing and general manager roles during a 15-year career in the healthcare sector with global healthcare companies Baxter and Abbott.
Charton has an MBA from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and the Emlyon Business School in Lyon, France, where he continues to play an active role in mentoring students.
Charton is a member of the Executive Council of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union.
