At The Wall Street Journal’s Journal House during Climate Week NYC, Ecolab Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Emilio Tenuta discussed how the infrastructure powering AI can scale while using water and energy more efficiently. The conversation explored AI’s full resource footprint — from semiconductor manufacturing and power generation to the cooling of data centers. “Historically, the way we think about resource growth is that we use more water and more power,” Tenuta said. “Today, more than ever, there [are] opportunities to use technology to move from linear to circular.”
