Nalco Water received certification as a Responsible Care® company. Responsible Care is a voluntary commitment by the global chemical industry to drive continuous improvement and achieve excellence in environmental, health and safety and security performance.
The certification further reinforces Nalco Water’s commitment to safety, health, environment and security and its willingness to go above and beyond its already high standard of performance.
As a Responsible Care company, Nalco Water voluntarily agrees to adhere to guidelines that measure its commitment to areas such as the safe storage, handling and transportation of chemicals, preparedness for emergency response to an incident and the prevention of pollution. The commitment also reflects the importance Nalco Water places on building strong trust with its customers, associates, suppliers and community.
As members of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Responsible Care companies undergo rigorous headquarters and facility audits to ensure they have a structure and a system in place to verify performance. “This is the outcome of great teamwork and a further sign of our strong commitment to our company's core values,” said Christophe Beck, executive vice president and president, Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company.
More than 60 countries around the world practice Responsible Care. In the United States, more than 250 companies take part in Responsible Care.
