Business Journal: Report by Nature Conservancy, Ecolab urges greater protection for Mississippi

Report estimates that taking action now would produce nearly $130 million in direct benefits

March 29, 2019

The Mississippi River’s headwaters area provides drinking water to 2.5 million Minnesotans. The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal reports on Ecolab's partnership with The Nature Conservancy on research showing how protecting and restoring about 200,000 of the 13 million acres in the Mississippi River’s headwaters area would greatly benefit our communities and save the state billions of dollars in cleanup costs.
