DiversityComm Magazine, a publication that promotes the advancement of diversity in all aspects of business and employment to ensure equal opportunity, recently recognized Ecolab on its 2024 Top Employers for the Black Community list.

The list acknowledges companies across a variety of industries that are leaders in promoting diversity and inclusive work environments. This recognition celebrates Ecolab’s ongoing efforts to cultivate an equitable and inclusive workplace and community.

“I’m proud of what we’ve collectively accomplished in creating a culture of belonging at Ecolab,” said Dexter Davis, vice president of Human Resources, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I). “When employees feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and to do what is right, our company thrives and we are all better for it.”

EcoEssence and the Black Leaders Forum (BLF) are two examples of employee groups helping to drive Ecolab’s DE&I achievements. EcoEssence, an employee resource group that aims to positively impact the recruitment, development and retention of Black, African and African American employees, has grown to over 1,200 members worldwide and promotes inclusivity and equity in the workplace and in the community. Working closely with EcoEssence, the BLF is an internal group of Black leaders that has helped increase diversity in Ecolab’s leadership pipeline, and provided a space for open and honest dialogue.

In recent years, Ecolab has also continued to increase recruitment at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) nationwide, creating more opportunities for diverse talent.

DiversityComm Magazine is among several institutions to recognize Ecolab for its DE&I achievements in the last year. Other acknowledgments include being recognized as a Top 50 company to work for diversity by Fair360, formerly DiversityInc, and being named a “Equality 100 Award” recipient on the 2023 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) in 2023.

“When employees feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work and to do what is right, our company thrives and we are all better for it.”

Vice President of Human Resources, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I).
