DrySorb

DrySorb

Moving wet coal through material handling units can prove challenging. The increased surface moisture creates stronger hydrogen bonds between coal particles that can lead to rat-holing or, in more severe cases, completely plugged chutes, silos and feeders. This can eliminate or choke down flow to the plant and lead to costly derates. Adding DrySorb to the coal stream converts the excess surface moisture to a lubricating gel, allowing the coal to easily flow through chutes and bottle necks.
