Disinfectant 1 Wipe

Recently, Ecolab’s Disinfectant 1 Wipe was featured in Becker’s Hospital Review. Entitled “Ecolab is serious about innovation: Disinfectant 1 Wipe is just the start,” the article highlights Ecolab’s strategic focus on the wipes product category.

Hank Carbone, former director of healthcare marketing at Ecolab, was interviewed by Becker’s, stating: “We developed this product specifically with the healthcare environment in mind…A key feature of the Disinfectant 1 Wipe is the 30-second kill time for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and a 60-second kill time for 43 other organisms. It has claims against key organisms that cause hospital-acquired infections, such as MRSA, VRE*, Norovirus and Candida auris.”

Additionally, vice president and general manager of Global Wipes Ryan Rensvold spoke to Becker’s about Ecolab’s wipes production capabilities, adding, “Labor constraints at the end-user level are more important now than they’ve ever been. It’s very important for us to provide products that can be used quickly and with very little training. To that end, we plan to continue investing in new wiping formats.”

In 2021, Ecolab expanded its wipes manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of National Wiper Alliance, a 500,000-square-foot wipes manufacturing facility located outside of Asheville, N.C, a critical step in Ecolab’s continued commitment to serve as a leading wipes partner for our customers.
