2026 Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo

Booth 1233

Location: America’s Center | St. Louis, MO

From its inception, the mission of the event has remained constant: The FEW delivers timely presentations with a strong focus on commercial-scale ethanol production – from quality control and yield maximization to regulatory compliance and fiscal management. The FEW is also the ethanol industry’s premier forum for unveiling new technologies and research findings. The program extensively covers cellulosic ethanol while remaining committed to optimizing existing grain ethanol operations.

HEAR FROM OUR EXPERTS!

Tuesday, June 2
10:30am
FEW Track 1: Production & Operations – Biological Processes
Brent Ziegler, Manager Area Technical Support
Improving Production Outputs from Optimized Hygiene Practices
Ecolab helps ethanol producers improve output by treating front-end CIP performance and fermentation treatment as one integrated process, ensuring chemical and process changes work together to reduce variability from factors like solids content, backset ratio, seasonality, and bacterial load. This presentation will cover the production benefits of a high-performing CIP program and a successful fermentation treatment, and how each can benefit from the other.
1:00pm
FEW Track 1: Production & Operations – Biological Processes
Marina Tschida, Sr. Chemical Engineer
The Fundamentals of Cleaning Science
From over 100 years of experience Ecolab has developed cleaning chemistries to improve both the hygiene and output of ethanol facilities. This presentation will cover both the key mechanics of fundamental cleaning chemistries, as well as outline additional considerations for selecting a chemistry in a given use scenario (soil, water, and surface considerations).
Thursday, June 4
8:30am
FEW Track 5: Production & Operations – Biological Processes
Patrick Severson, District Manager
Modeling Process Impacts on Water and Energy Use
Ecolab has been working to help ethanol producers improve production efficiency and reduce their Carbon Intensity by quantifying how process changes impact water and energy use across key boiling-point separation operations, including distillation columns, evaporators, and dryers. This presentation will cover how Ecolab’s Optimizer Pro models proposed process changes and predicts downstream impacts (e.g., total solids and BTUs) before implementation, enabling more informed, proactive process management decisions.

Learn More

Trimeta™ Fermentation Enhancer

Ecolab's fermentation process addititive helps ethanol producers maximize fermentation efficiency by improving sugar utilization without relying on antibiotics. Customers benefit from higher ethanol yield, reduced residual sugars, lower energy demand downstream, and a more cost‑effective, future‑ready fermentation process.

Ecolab® EvaporatorIQ™

Ecolab's digital evaporator program provides real‑time visibility into evaporator performance through connected chemistry and a digital dashboard, enabling smarter, data‑driven cleaning decisions. Customers gain increased uptime, reduced energy use, fewer unnecessary cleanings, and improved production efficiency by optimizing evaporator CIP timing.

3D TRASAR™ for Membranes

Integrated solution includes a flexible on-site control platform and our remote Ecolab Global Intelligence Center designed to leverage Ecolab's world-class technical experts, system automation and treatment programs to provide measurable results that improve your bottom line. Helps maximize your RO production while minimizing your environmental footprint.

3D TRASAR™ for Boilers

3D TRASAR for Boilers offers smart sensor technology, multi-parameter monitoring and improved connectivity. A powerful diagnostic tool, it is designed to protect boiler assets in business-critical and high-stress processes by helping to protect against scale formation and identify potential causes of out-of-spec conditions, supporting optimal performance and eROI.

Ethanol Corrosion Inhibitor

This corrosion inhibitor helps manage fuel ethanol quality and control costs. Proper dosage prevents corrosion, elastomer damage, and protects fuel system components.  EC5624A PLUS makes it fast and easy for ethanol producers to add exactly the right amount every time.

NexGuard™

The NexGuard program is the most advanced boiler internal treatment chemistry in the industry today. Couple that with our state-of-the-art 3D TRASAR® technology to provide you the power of diagnostic, monitoring, feed and program control. Application of this innovative program results in reliable, safe, easy-to-use and cost-effective performance.

Trimeta™ Alternative pH Clean in Place Program

Also known as the Acid Safe Program for stainless steel environments. This program is an innovative cleaner and final rinse combination that helps improve cleaning and restore equipment efficiency for ethanol producers. Decreases negative fermentation byproducts that impact ethanol yield and batch quality, such as glycerol, lactic acid and acetic acid.

OMNI™

The profitability of your plant depends upon the efficient use of water and energy. Heat exchanger performance is the key. Ecolab offers OMNI: a comprehensive program combining in-depth system audits, 24/7 monitoring, unique diagnostic tools, and consultative services to help optimize heat transfer and improve reliability.

3D TRASAR™ for Cooling

3D TRASAR Cooling Water programs deliver the deep insights and operational assistance you need to control your cooling water systems and protect valuable equipment assets with confidence. The programs support optimal performance and, most importantly, provide you with eROI (return on your investment) in the form of water savings, energy savings, reduced carbon emissions and labor savings.

Corn Oil Seperation Program

Our offering captures up to three times more corn oil during the extraction process and increases the overall quality of the yield. This GRAS-certified, patent-pending product is a cost-effective option that requires no additional capital investment and will not increase energy consumption and costs.

Thin Stillage Clarifcation Process

Our thin stillage clarification process allows plants to increase ethanol output and corn oil capture. It reduces thin stillage suspended solids allowing for higher solid concentration in syrup leading to less water to the dryer. It also captures over 85% of all the crude oil present in thin stillage, allowing easier downstream corn oil recovery.

Mash Train Heat Exchanger Cleaning Program

Our Mash Train Heat Exchanger cleaning program eliminates the need for acid cleaning, assists the plant in becoming FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) compliant, improves heat transfer, and enhances infection control by removing bio film formation.

Evaporator Scale Inhibitor

Ecolab's specially formulated scale inhibitor chemistry is developed for a plant's specific scale. The inhibitor helps prevent mineral deposits that can result in evaporators becoming a bottleneck. When paired with our Evaporator Performance Monitoring Program it can help plants significantly improve productivity and profitability.

Trimeta® Carbon Steel Cleaning Program

This program is designed to remove organic and inorganic soil in a CO2 rich environment. This complete CIP program is compatible with Carbon Steel components and helps inhibit corrosion. Including a built alkaline, detergent booster, and final rinse allows for lower volume of chemicals into fermentation.
