Enhance Product Stability 

Advanced Recycling methods for plastic waste usually create oil-fractions (Pyoil) high in olefinic and diene content, making these products prone to tars, films, and sediment formation. Our innovative and patent-pending extraction and stabilizing solutions effectively remove film- and tar-forming compounds to not only enhance the short- and long-term storage stability, but also make these Pyoils fit for cracking in ethylene furnaces.

Improve Cold Flow Properties 

Continued and reliable operations during winters is critical for any process plant. Many Pyoils demonstrate poor and variable cold-flow properties depending on the plastic waste stream components and different advanced recycling technologies. Nalco Water’s patented EVA-copolymer-based flow improvers ensure optimized flow behaviors in all seasons, eliminating the costly alternative of heat-tracing process equipment and transfer pipelines. Our products are also certified safe for ethylene furnaces.

Optimize Acidic Corrosion 

The Pyoils manufactured by Advanced Recycling methods contain high acidic components, generally coming in through PVC waste and other metallic impurities, and hence demonstrate high TAN figures. The acidic nature of these streams poses significant corrosion threat not only to chemical recycling plants but also to ethylene plants that would eventually process Pyoils in their furnaces. Nalco Water’s optimized neutralizer programs and online chloride monitoring capabilities give valuable insights and control over potential acidic corrosion.
